Tshipi E Ntle Mining Commemorates Mandela Month with a Heartwarming Donation of Warm Clothes and Blankets from Kgalotlhare village in the JTG District Municipality.
In the spirit of celebrating the legacy of the iconic leader Nelson Mandela and his commitment to making the world a better place, Tshipi é Ntle Mining demonstrated its dedication to corporate social responsibility by commemorating Mandela Month with a generous donation of warm clothes and blankets to children from an impoverished community.
Mandela Month, observed throughout July 18th calls for individuals and organisations around the world to engage in acts of kindness, inspiring change and making a positive impact in their communities. Tshipi seized this opportunity to show its unwavering commitment to uplifting communities and ensuring the well-being of those in need.
On 27 July 2023, Tshipi visited Marang Community Based Center, an NPO based in Galotlhare to present their thoughtful contribution. Among the dignitaries were the Chief of Galotlhare village Chief Mokgoje, the Principal of Galore Primary School Mrs Moncho, Men of War NPO of EX drug addicts and JTG Christian Ministries Pastor, Pastor Disipi. The heartwarming event took witnessed the genuine joy on the faces of the children as they received the much-needed winter clothing and blankets.
Marang Career information center is an NPO that focuses on rural areas affected by poverty, and raises awareness around HIV and aids particularly for children between the ages of 6 to 21 if they are still attending schools mostly are orphaned by HIV and AIDS or born with it. The Project Manager of the organisation, Mpho Lekgetho expressed her gratitude to Tshipi for reaching out to one of the rural areas in the district. ‘We are overwhelmed by the gesture that Tshipi made and the difference it has brought to the lives of the children and the Galotlhare community as a whole.’ she said. Most of the services are directed to the township and we are privileged to be recognised. This shows that we are not working in isolation in trying to make a difference in the lives of the communities.’she continued.
The Socio-Economic Development Superintended of Tshipi, Pamela Manyaka said ; "We are honored to commemorate Mandela Day by extending our support to the children of Galotlhare and the community at large. The essence of Mandela Day resonates deeply with our core values as a company, emphasizing the importance of social upliftment and community empowerment. By providing warm clothes and blankets to these young ones, we hope to contribute to their well-being and bring smiles to their faces, especially during the colder months."’she concluded.
The donation drive organised by Tshipi aimed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children who face challenging circumstances in the impoverished community.
