Tshipi Contributes R500 000 to the Northern Cape Premier's Bursary Programme
Tshipi is proud to have contributed R500 000 towards the Northern Cape Premier's Bursary Programme through the 2026 Northern Cape Premier's Golf Day. The Northern Cape Premier's Golf Day has become a significant annual fundraising event since its inception in 2023, bringing together government, business, and community stakeholders to support deserving less privileged students through bursary opportunities. The funds raised during the event contribute directly to the Premier's Bursary Programme, helping young people access higher education and build brighter futures.
This year's event was hosted in Kathu and attracted more than 220 players from across various sectors, with mining being the dominant one. Tshipi participated alongside other mining houses and corporate partners who collectively contributed towards the programme's fundraising efforts.
Our leadership team represented us and participated in the day's activities as part of a four-ball team.
We have proudly partnered with the Premier's Golf Day initiative for the past two years. Our 2026 contribution is R500 000, which will make a positive impact on the communities where we operate and support the development of future generations.
We believe that education remains one of the most powerful tools for social and economic transformation. Our investment in programmes of this nature such as the Premier's Bursary Programme helps unlock potential, empower young talent, and contribute to the sustainable growth of local communities, subsequently the NC province.
In his speech during the prize-giving ceremony, the Premier of the NC province, Dr Zamani Saul, expressed his gratitude towards all businesses for their generosity and the impact it will have on the lives of the youth in the province.
Collectively, we are creating opportunities and shaping a brighter future for the Northern Cape.
