We are committed to comply with the laws that guide our actions in the natural resource space from a legal compliance perspective but also from the perspective of recognising our responsibility to act as a good corporate citizen.

Our aim is to manage the environment responsibly throughout the lifecycle of our operations to ensure that we do not unduly disturb or destroy the environment where we operate.

Mine-rehabilitation is one of our critical strategic pillars that directly influences our license to operate. Since we operate an open pit mine we regard rehabilitation management as an ongoing process.

We address the environmental impact of our business activities on an ongoing basis by integrating issues such as pollution control, waste management and rehabilitation activities into our operating procedures. We are legally committed and will comply with all environmental laws, including but not limited to the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998, and Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act 28 of 2002.
